Hesse’s inherent magic of the beginning would, of course, have worked well here as a pointless quotation. But the fact is that Schiller’s views are more apt here, especially in retrospect.

And, yes, every act and every chapter begins with a quote. Most are from Metallica, but Shakespeare and the Joker and such are also included. I think this is the only german quote. It says:
